Insights For Breakfast: Internationalt event with Zealand Pharma

On Tuesday the 3rd of June 'Insight For Breakfast' brought together international students, spouses and professionals to connect, network and inspire across cultures and industries.

Business Consultant at Gladsaxe Kommune and Gladsaxe Erhvervsby, Lone Jacobsen, emphasized how crucial it is to ensure that the international employees feel truly welcome and inspired to stay longer. To achieve this, a close collaboration with local companies and neighbouring municipalities is needed to create and organize inspiring initiatives.

With more than 25 nationalities represented and new colleagues joining every month, Zealand Pharma is truly a vibrant and diverse workplace as emphasized by EVP and Chief People Officer Christina Sonnenborg Bredal. To help both Danish and international employees feel welcome and included, the company has created a variety of sports teams and other initiatives that foster networks and nurture the special spirit that makes Zealand Pharma stand out.

EVP and Chief Operating Officer, Ivan Moller, delivered an inspiring presentation of Zealand Pharma’s remarkable growth journey. Operating in an industry where bringing a product to market can take several years, Zealand Pharma has embraced the philosophy that partnerships are one of the key drivers for acceleration. The growth journey combined with the uniqe culture have generated a high employee satisfaction and engagement; among the highest in the industry.

Senior Scientist Christin Kossmann captivated the audience, as she shared the inspiring story of her international career journey, which has taken her across several countries and now to Zealand Pharma in Gladsaxe. With warmth and honesty, Christin opened up about her experiences settling in Denmark with personal anecdotes, which the international audience easily could mirror themselves in.
